I love a good green smoothie, especially during the summer months after a long, sweaty workout. One thing that I hate after a long, sweaty workout is chopping and juicing multiple cups of spinach, kale, celery, and parsley…which are usually the veggies that I use to make my green juices and smoothies.
I keep a stock of Amazing Grass Green Superfood packets (I purchased mine from Whole Foods) for those days when I need a shortcut. My favorite flavors are Pineapple Lemongrass and Orange Dreamsicle.
The first 5 ingredients in the Pineapple Lemongrass flavor are organic alfafa, organic spirulina, organic spinach, organic chlorella, and organic broccoli.
Pineapple Lemongrass Green Smoothie
Makes 1 serving
3/4 cup of pineapple juice
1 packet of Amazing Grass Green Superfood, Pineapple Lemongrass
1 cup of ice
1 teaspoon of crystallized ginger, as a garnish
Blend all ingredients and pour into a glass. Sprinkle the crystallized ginger on top and enjoy!
