I recently received my second bundle of The Honest Company products. As I stated in my first post about The Honest Company, I’m transitioning my home cleaning, as well as bath and body products to non-toxic, natural products.
Here are my thoughts on the items that I ordered for my second bundle…
Hand Sanitizer Gel (2 pack): Love It.
I try not to use hand sanitizer, unless there’s absolutely no way for me to wash my hands. My biggest hand sanitizer need is after I finish pumping gas. The Honest Company’s hand sanitizer is fragrance free and didn’t dry out my hands, which is a HUGE plus for me (I’m kind of obsessed about moisturizing). It comes in a spray version and a squeeze bottle version…I chose the squeeze bottle. All in all, it’s great.
Dish Soap, Lemon Verbena: Like It.
The Lemon Verbena scent smells great and is faint, which I like. I’m accustomed to a nice amount of suds (I typically use Method’s Clementine dish detergent) and the Honest dish detergent doesn’t get sudsy. I realize that’s a good thing, but it took some getting used to. The one thing that I don’t like is the packaging. As I said, I typically use Method and the bottle is a pump style which is really convenient when your hands are a mess. The Honest dish detergent bottle is a squeeze bottle that needs to be picked up for use.
Bathroom Cleaner, Eucalyptus Mint: Love It.
I used the bathroom cleaner all over my bathroom…bathtub, vanity, toilet…everywhere. The scent is pleasant and not overpowering…like so many bathroom cleaners that require me to close the bathroom door, so that the strong scent doesn’t fill up my apartment. The cleaning power is great. I sprayed the different surfaces once, let the cleaner sit for a few minutes, and scrubbed everything down with water…no reapplying needed. I’m definitely planning to stick with this product.
Travel Wipes (4 pack): Love It.
The travel wipes are unscented and worked great. Each pack includes 10 wipes. I’ve used them to remove makeup, as post-workout face wipes, and I even used one after I dropped a strawberry in my lap (wearing white jeans, of course). The stain was completely removed!
Dryer Cloths, Free and Clear: Like It.
I’ve been hunting for natural dryer cloths for a while now. I was preparing to DIY some myself when I decided to try these. Overall, they worked fine, are unscented, and left my linens noticeably softer.
Lip Shimmer in Pomegranate (free gift for Mother’s Day): Like It.
The lip shimmer was a free gift that I wasn’t expecting. It’s a mauve pink color, which showed up on my lips and looked really pretty, but the color faded away in about an hour. My lips also felt softer when I first applied the shimmer, but that feeling wore off pretty quickly.
